Eighty-five percent of Atlantans feel the city is entreprenuer-friendly, a new study from Squarespace says.
ATLANTA, GA -- If you live in metro Atlanta, you probably know someone with their own business. Or you may have a business of your own. In fact, most Atlantans feel that the city is a hub of entrepreneurship, according to a new study by Squarespace.

“Our survey shows that Atlantans are truly inspired by the city’s deep musical roots, diverse population, the people themselves, and the burgeoning art scene," Squarespace CMO, Kinjil Mathur told Patch. "It’s that rich blend of culture and history that inspires residents to go out, start a business, and be a part of shaping the next era of their city."
Mathur said that young movers and shakers are part of the city's business renaissance as well.
"We even see some of our own Atlanta-based Squarespace customers like Young Moguls Brand, a company started by two teenagers, paving this path of entrepreneurialism across all generations in Atlanta. We couldn’t be more proud to be a part of that movement."
Other statistics from the survey: 86% of people feel business owners can do well in the city, but 77% said these same entrepreneurs don't get the recognition they deserve.
Conducted between August 22-30, the Squarespace Thought Leadership Survey polled 637 Atlanta residents ages 13-60, (with 529 residents ages 18-60 and 108 residents ages 13-17), using an e-mail invitation and online survey. The margin of error was +/- 3.9% (+/- 4.3% for residents ages 18-60 and +/- 9.4% for residents ages 13-17). 637 people answered the survey.
